Kuznetsova ends four-year title drought


Washington, Aug 4 (IANS): Russian veteran tennis star Svetlana Kuznetsova defeated Kurumi Nara of Japan 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 at the Citi Open final, for her first WTA title in four years.

The 29-year-old Russian collected her 14th WTA title Sunday, but her last one dated back to 2010, when she lifted the trophy in San Diego, reports Xinhua.

The current world No.26 was the winner of the 2004 US Open and 2009 French Open.
