Shuttler Kashyap wins men's singles gold


Glasgow, Aug 3 (IANS): Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap clinched a hard-fought men's singles gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games here Sunday.

The second seeded Indian beat sixth seed Zi Liang Derek Wong of Singapore 21-14, 11-21, 21-19 at the Emirates Arena in just over an hour.

R.M.V. Gurusaidutt had won the bronze in the same category Saturday.
