San Lorenzo advance to Copa Libertadores final

La Paz, July 31 (IANS): Argentine football club San Lorenzo earned a berth in the Copa Libertadores final for the first time with a 5-1 aggregate victory against Bolivar.

The Argentine club lost Wednesday's semifinal second leg 0-1 after Gerardo Yecerotte's late strike at the Estadio Hernando Siles here, reports Xinhua.

But San Lorenzo advanced by virtue of a 5-0 victory in Buenos Aires last week.

"I am so happy because this is what we had dreamed about since we began the season," San Lorenzo coach Edgardo Bauza was quoted as saying by Argentine portal Ole.

Bauza's team will meet Paraguay's Nacional Asuncion in the final of Latin America's premier club competition over two legs.

The first fixture will be played in Asuncion Aug 6 with the decider in Buenos Aires a week later.
