Mansher, Sandhu qualify for men's trap semis


Glasgow, July 29 (IANS): Indian shooters Mansher Singh and Manavjit Singh Sandhu qualified for the men's trap semi-finals at the Commonwealth Games here Tuesday.

England's Aaron Heading topped the qualification on the second day with a total score of 119 points while both the Indians had accounted for 117 points apiece at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre.

On Monday, Mansher had topped the qualification with 50 points while Sandhu finished third on 49.

Six contenders will compete in the semi-finals later in the day which will be followed by the bronze and gold medal playoffs.
