Indian cyclists out of women's sprint


Glasgow, July 26 (IANS): India's Deborah, Mahitha Mohan and Kezia Vargheese were knocked out of the women's sprint qualifiers in the cycling track event of the Commonwealth Games at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome here Saturday.

The top eight proceeded to the next round while the three Indians finished 10th, 11th and 12th. Australia's Stephanie Morton topped the sheets with a time of 10.984.

At 10th, Deborah was 1.499 behind the leader, while Mathita (11th) and Kezia (12th) finished further behind.
