Nigerian coach unhappy with refereeing

Brasilia, July 1 (IANS/EFE): Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi said that American referee Mark Geiger was unjust to his team after they lost 0-2 to France in the Round of 16 elimination match at the Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha here Monday.

Keshi said Geiger did not show French players cards and called a Nigerian goal offside in the 18th minute, reports EFE.

“If you look at the goal that we scored, I don't think there was any infringement,” Keshi said.

France won and qualified for the quarter-finals where they will face Germany who beat Algeria 2-1.
