Taskin, Jubair among Bangladesh probables for Windies tour


Dhaka, July 1 (IANS/CMC): Promising teenage seamer Taskin Ahmed has been named in a 25-man provisional squad and will be joined by leg-spinner Jubair Hossain for the tour of West Indies from August 20 to Sep 13.

Taskin has played two One-Day Internationals but is yet to be capped in Test cricket, reports CMC.

The 19-year-old made his debut earlier this month against India, finishing with a five-wicket haul. He took two wickets in the second match.

He will be joined by leg-spinner Jubair Hossain, a former national Under-19 player, as the other new face.

The squad includes leading stars Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque and world rated all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.

Bangladesh will play three one-dayers, two Tests and one Twenty20.
