Pakistani court dismisses case against FBI agent


Islamabad, May 19 (IANS): A Pakistani court Monday dismissed a case against an FBI agent, who was arrested for allegedly carrying ammunition and three knives onto an airplane.

The case against Joel Cox was dismissed after Karachi police submitted that the FBI agent was issued a written authority letter by the US consulate to carry a weapon for his personal protection, Dawn reported.

The US citizen was arrested May 5, at the Jinnah International Airport and later revealed that he was a FBI agent.

He was granted bail May 8.
