Mumbai, Jun 10: A Saudi Arabian was found dead in his room at the Hilton Towers, Nariman Point, on Thursday morning. Police suspect he died two days ago.

Hotel staff found Khaleed Ali Al Jabar (42) lying on the bed and frothing at the mouth. The Marine Drive police said his face had turned blue.

“On Thursday morning, staff complained of a foul smell emanating from room number 1218 on the 12th floor. We opened the room with a duplicate key and found him dead,” an officer said.

Jabar was in India since April 12 and had a visa permit till October 11.

Police believe he was a tourist. Jabar had checked into the hotel on June 3 and was last seen on June 6.

“On June 6, he had told the hotel staff not to disturb him. No one saw him after that,” said a police officer.

While his body was sent to JJ Hospital for post mortem, his viscera was sent to the FSL lab at Kalina for chemical analysis to ascertain the cause of death.

The police have ruled out foul play, as there were no injury marks on Jabar’s body.
