Durant scores 34 as Thunder edge Bobcats


Washington, Dec 28 (IANS): The Oklahoma City Thunder edged the Charlotte Bobcats 89-85 thanks to Kevin Durant's 34 points.

Durant proved to be the difference between the two teams Friday also notching 12 rebounds and six assists, reports Xinhua.

The Thunder were missing starting point guard Russell Westbrook, who would be out for at least 27 games after a knee surgery.

Thabo Sefolosha and Serge Ibaka had 12 points apiece for the Thunder. Reggie Jackson added 10.

Kemba Walker led the Bobcats with 18 points. Al Jefferson made 16 points and 11 rebounds.
