Udupi, Apr 17: "The controversy about the setting up of district administrative complex at End Point near Manipal here has been resolved.  So the complex will come up at End Point.  The petition filed by Manipal groups against the government order will be withdrawn within a couple of days.  Once this is clear, the work will begin," said state revenue minister Jagdish Shettar.

He was speaking to the reporters after meeting MAHE chairman Dr M Ramdas Pai on Sunday April 16.  The meeting was held at Hotel Kidiyoor here and state ministers Dr V S Acharya, MLA K Raghupati Bhat were also present at the meeting.

After the meeting Jagdish Shettar visited the proposed land at End Point along with the concerned officials.  He later said that the complex will come up in 15 acres of land at the End Point.

MLA Raghupati Bhat who was present on the occasion appealed the minister to file a petition with the Supreme Court with regard to the remaining 55 acres of land at End Point about which the High Court has given judgement in favour of MAHE.  He also explained about the proposed plan of connecting Brahmavar and surrounding areas to End Point by building a bridge between Kolalgiri and End Point.
