Mangalore, Mar 19: Those with a musical bent of mind but who had so far to contend with being mere bathroom singers can now take heart. Here is someone who is offering to give a voice to these voiceless.

No doubt, these days, a good voice is the last thing one needs to have one's songs recorded on music albums, what with the hi-tech, multitrack, digital and synthesizer recording facilities, coming in table-top console shapes and sizes.

Yet, for those hesitating to get one's voice recorded in the form of a song, there is a newly-set-up recording facility in the Saibeen shopping mall at Lal Bagh in the city. Mumbai's AVC Music ("Studio Bathroom Singer") if offering this facility to amateur music buffs to have their favourite songs rendered in their own voices and recorded for posterity.

No previous crooning experience is necessary. It's just a walk-in operation. For an almost pittance of a sum of Rs 9 per minute, any of the 500-plus sound-tracks of Hindi and English songs can be picked and rendered.

Making a mistake is no big deal. Don't worry, you won't face the music. Lyrics, background score and spot training will be provided. In a few minutes the sound engineer will edit and mix your song and you can walk out with a carry-home CD. The entire process would not take more than half an hour, says head of the franchise Kapadia.
