Mangalore, Mar 18:  Hyundai Motor India on Friday, March 17, 2006 ‘Wowed’ the people of Karnataka, as countrywide road show, the World of Wheels (WOW), reached Mangalore with a grand display of nine vehicles from the Hyundai stable.

The three-day event was inaugurated by K Ananthakrrishna, chairman, Karnataka Bank near Kulur.

World of Wheels, Hyundai’s second road show, showcases the entire range of Hyundai vehicles sold in India. Two cars yet to make an entry into India, the ultra-luxury sedan Azera and the sports coupe Tuscani, have been especially shipped from Korea to WOW Indians for the road show.


Speaking to press persons here on Friday, Young Jin Ahn, senior general manager, southern region, marketing and sales Hyundai Motor India Ltd, said that the three-day event promises to be an exciting affair with special offers and WOW package of goodies for people, who book their cars at the venue of the road show. The show will also have its share of fun for the people of Mangalore with a musical extravaganza, contests and exciting prizes.


“The country wide road show is a part of Hyundai Motor India’s continuing effort to connect with and reach out to the customer directly. The event will give the customers in non-metro citites a first-hand experience of the entire range of Hyundai cars in India,” he said.

The Hyundai Motor Road show, which began in the northern region, will travel to 34 cities across India, representing all the four regions of the country.

Karnataka, which has 8 Hyundai dealerships and 17 dealer service centers, 5 Hyundai authorised service centers and 10 Hyundai service contact points comprises 9.5 per cent of Hyundai all India sales.

B M Sanjeeva Rao, managing director, Standard Hyundai, B S Sunil Rao and Vinod Rao directors of Standard Automobiles were present on the occasion.
