Pune, Oct 13 : After winning the toss, elected to bat Australia put 304 for the loss of 8 wickets.

India will have to chase 305 in the stipulated 50 overs.

For Australia, Phillip Hughes scored 47, Aron Finch 72, captain Bailey played captain's knock 85 in 82 balls. At the end Faulkner made quickfire 27 in 22 balls.

For India Yuraj Singh baggs 2/34, Ashwin 2/55. Jadeja was economical with 1/35 in 10 overs.

Bailey played a captain's knock and held the innings together while the rest of the batsman made valuable contributions. Yuvraj Singh was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets while Ashwin also bagged two to support him. Dhoni mentioned about the dew factor at the toss and it will be interesting to see how the Indian reply pans out.

Australia will be really happy with the total they have got after opting to bat first. Aaron Finch and Phil Hughes got off to a sedate start courtesy some good tight new ball bowling. But it was only a matter of time for the openers as they cut loose soon after to share a hundred run partnership. Dhoni brought in Yuvraj Singh immediately after the wicket of Hughes and he changed the game with the wicket of Watson off his very first ball. Finch too perished after a fantastic fifty.
