Mumbai, Mar 11: As the Billava Association here celebrates 75 years, the renovation of ‘Billawa Bhavan’ is nearing completion and the renovated building will be inaugurated on April 16, informed Jaya C Suvarna, president of the association.

Vice-presidents Y Nagesh and V R Kotian said that many noted personalities, social workers, religious leaders and people who helped the building to come up, will be present at the inaugural ceremony. 

General secretary Nityananda Kotian in a press release appealed to the members of the community and Tulu and Kannadiga organizations to attend the function, which will be held on the Police Grounds at Santacruz East,  and make the event a memorable one,

A meeting to chalk out the arrangements of the event was held at the bhavan, where  L V Amin, working president, fund-raising committee,  N M Sanil, treasurer, Hemavati Pal, working president, women’s wing and other office-bearers were present.
