Mangalore, Mar 1: Neeta (16), who had gone missing some days ago from her house at Kondamoole near Kateel here has not yet been traced.  Though a missing case had been filed in this regard in the Bajpe police station, now the case has been changed into a kidnap case since her neighbour Shivraj and his wife Ningamma too have gone missing from the same day.

Neeta has gone missing from Tuesday February 7 morning.  Before leaving the house, she had told her sister Supreeta that she was going to visit the doctor at Kinnigoli.  But when she did not return till in the evening, her parents started searching for her.

In the meantime it was found out that her neighbour Shivraj and his wife Ningamma too were missing from their house.  The couple was the neighbour of Neeta's family at Kondamoole.  Shivraj who has both his legs was engaged in begging to earn his livelihood.  They were Neeta's neighbours for the last 4 years.

The police on the other hand have been trying to trace the couple and Neeta in various places.  Since Shivraj is dependent on begging to earn his livelihood, the police have been keeping a vigilant eye on all the temple and village feasts both in the district and outside the districts.  The police had already looked for the three during the feasts at Agumbe, Theerthahally, Murdeshwar and Shimoga.  But they were not successful in their task.

Though Shivraj was living in the Kateel area for long, no one knew about his native place or any other related details.  Some sources say that he hailed from Bangalore.  But so far the police have not been able to lay their hands on any substantial clues about the missing couple and Neeta.
