Carbon monoxide poisoning kills seven in China


Beijing, Aug 26 (IANS): Seven people died of carbon monoxide poisoning in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region while and four were injured, the authorities said Monday.

A power failure occurred at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday and caused a forcing fan to stop working in a mine in Erdos city, reported Xinhua citing the regional work safety department.

A further investigation into the accident is underway.
