Puttur, Feb 9: A young man from Mavutamajal near Bantra of Kadaba here was killed in a road accident near Hassan on Wednesday February 8 morning.

Keshav (28), son of Derappa Gowda of Mavutamajal was working as car driver in a jewellery shop at Uppinangady here.  On Wednesday he was going to Bangalore along with his owner when a manganese ore laden lorry collided with the car at Shantigrama near Hassan.

As a result Keshav died on the spot.  The jewellery shop owner Krishnaraj (42) who was also travelling in the same car sustained serious injuries and is admitted to a private hospital at Hassan.

Keshav is survived by wife and a young child.
