It is in another way, a time to retrospect and evaluate the efforts as well as the accomplishments," said Fr Denis D'Sa, director, Sandesha here.

He was speaking during the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of "Kalaniketan School of Music and Dance" in the city on Sunday January 29.

He further said that support and encouragement from the parents and teachers, commitment to the given task and an apt forum to exhibit one's talent gives a opportunity to blossom.

Dr Vasant Kumar Perla, in-charge director, Akashvani Mangalore was the chief guest of the function.  In his speech, he applauded Kalaniketan for upholding the Indian culture and traditions by imparting music and dance lessons to the students.  He also congratulated the principle and staff of Kalaniketan School of Music and Dance on the occasion of its golden jubilee.

Renuka, wife of Karnataka Bank chairman Anantakrisha presided over the function. Principal Gopalkrishna Ayyar, coordinator U Narasimha was also present on the occasion.

Savitri Ramrao delivered the introductory note while Mukund Prabhu welcomed the gathering.  Narayan Damodar compered the programme.
