Bangalore, Jan 30: According to some trustworthy sources, former prime minister and JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda, who is said to have been disappointed over the new political developments, is thinking about taking a political sanyas.

As reported earlier, Deve Gowda has been bitterly disappointed over the recent developments in the corridors of the Vidhana Soudha, which have led to the fall of the 20 month old Congress- JD (S) coalition government.  Apparently, his son H D Kumaraswamy who is behind this coup along with BJP, has now been invited to form the new government.  There has been a long debate as whether Deve Gowda himself masterminded the fall of the government or was he really unaware about everything, as he has maintained.  He has confessed in open that his son has disappointed him.  If this is true, then there is no doubt that the same has pushed him take decision about his political sanyas.  So his resignation from the post of the National President of JD (S) could might have been the first step towards this.

The sources said, Deve Gowda would announce his political sanyas in the JD (S) National Executive meeting on Friday February 3.  Incidentally on this same day Kumaraswamy will be sworn-in as the new chief minister of the state.

He made it clear to the JD (S) MLAs, who met him on Saturday January 28 to convince him to withdraw resignation, that he will not withdraw and will take tough decisions.
