Imtiaz wishes 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' team luck

Mumbai, Mar 9 (IANS): Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali Saturday wished the team of "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" (MDKM), the debut directorial venture of his "Rockstar" chief assistant director Ashima Chibber, good luck.

The crew of MDKM was shooting a scene on the streets of Mumbai and they were pleasantly surprised to see Ali, who has helmed films like "Jab We Met", "Love Aaj Kal" and "Rockstar". He dropped in on the set to wish debutante director Chibber, who looks up to him.

"Imtiaz is someone I look up to as a terrific director. I learnt a lot from him while working on 'Rockstar', and we were delighted to have him drop by on the sets of my first feature to wish the entire team luck," Chibber said in a statement.

Ali not only spent some time on the film's set, but also spoke to the cast, including Saqib Saleem, the lead actor of the film.

The movie, produced by Yash Raj Films' Y-Films banner, will release March 15.
