Los Angeles, Mar 8 (IANS): Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie managed to sell 6,000 bottles of their Miraval Rose 2012 wine brand in just five hours.
"The sale started at 9 a.m., and all the bottles were sold out by 2 p.m.," a representative told eonline.com.
The couple joined hands with the Perrin family, wine makers and owners of Château de Beaucastel in France, to create a range of wines at their estate Chateau Miraval.
While the Perrin family have taken most of the responsibility for the wine production, Pitt and Jolie were consulted on the new bottle and redesign, which carries the names 'Jolie-Pitt and Perrin'.
"We are intimately involved and quite enthused over the wine project with our friends, the Perrin family," Pitt said.
This is not the couple's first foray into wine production. It was earlier revealed that Pitt wants to serve their own product - Pink Floyd wine at their upcoming wedding.
