Gaga being sued for cancelling tour

Los Angeles, March 7 (IANS): Singer Lady Gaga is reportedly being sued for cancelling her Indonesia tour last year by the organisers.

The 26-year-old cancelled her Jakarta tour last year in June after protesters threatened to intercept her arrival in the country.

The US star was accused of spreading "satanic teaching" by Islamic hardliners.

Due to cancellation of the gig, the event promoters had to bear a loss of 50,000 pounds loss and now they want it to be reimbursed.

In fact, she cancelled the rest of her "Born This Way Ball" tour last month after suffering from inflammation. This has said to have costed the organisers 17 million pounds.

Show promoters in Indonesia have filed a lawsuit in the California federal court against the star's insurers, Lloyds of London, reports thesun.co.uk.

They claim the firm failed to make good on a policy covering losses for gigs cancelled due to "the sole and direct result of terrorism and/or sabotage or threat."
