Mumbai: Students felicitated at Chembur Karnataka Sangh school and college day

Mumbai, Feb 19: The annual day celebration of Karnataka high school and junior college of Chembur Karnataka sangh was held at the college auditorium on Saturday February 16.

Harish G Amin, managing director of EMS electrical and engineering private limited was the chief guest who inaugurated the programme while Prabhakar B Bolar, president of Chembur Karnataka Sangh presided.

Talent award and prizes were distributed to students by Harish G Amin.

Addressing the gathering, Harish G Amin said it is important for children to inculcate discipline in their life and to this teachers, parents play a prominent role.

"Our association is working towards the promoting Kannada language. Through education we are spreading Kannada language in this metro city", said Prabhakar Bolar in his presidential address.

Advocate HK Sudhakar, vice president, Vishwanath S Shenava, chief secretary, Devdas K Shettigara, treasurer, Sunder N Kotian, joint treasurer, Shankar Shetty shared the dais.

On the occasion, students presented various cultural programmes.

Hundreds of people were present on the occasion and cheered the students.

Vijaya Antony, teacher welcomed the gathering, Shankar Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.

Hemalatha S, Sujaya Anchan, Raji Ramesh and PS jayalaxmi read the annual reports of their respective department.
