Keys Launches Storytelling App for Kids

London, Oct 26 (IANS): Singer Alicia Keys was inspired by her young son Egypt to create an interactive storytelling app for kids.

The 31-year-old gave birth to Egypt two years ago, and has used her own experience of motherhood as inspiration for her new interactive bedtime story, "The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee", reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I was just getting introduced to kind of the TV shows and the DVDs and all the things you start kind of introducing your kids to, and I thought how cool it would be to be a part of something that really allows them to hear music from different places, different cultures, different sounds. That's what we're able to do with this," said Keys.

The singer composed music for the app, which tells the story of a young girl from New York and her relationship with her wise grandmother.
