Mumbai, Sep 16: India's Abhishek Sharma has moved up to second place in the ICC men's T20I batting rankings following his 82 in the series opener against Afghanistan.

Abhishek climbed one place, moving past Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan. He is now 51 rating points behind India teammate Ishan Kishan, who continues to hold the top position among T20I batters.

Sanju Samson also gained ground after scoring 57 in India's seven-wicket victory in the second T20I. Samson moved up four places to No. 30 as India secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

India's bowlers also made significant gains. Varun Chakravarthy climbed two places to No. 5, while Jasprit Bumrah moved up seven spots to No. 10. Arshdeep Singh was the biggest mover among Indian bowlers, rising 11 places to No. 14, while Axar Patel climbed six places to No. 27.

Afghanistan allrounder Azmatullah Omarzai moved up two places to No. 5 in the T20I allrounders' rankings. Mohammad Nabi also gained one place to reach No. 8.

Robinson reaches career-best No. 3 among Test bowlers

England fast bowler Ollie Robinson reached a career-high third position in the Test bowling rankings after taking 21 wickets in the three-Test series against Pakistan.

Josh Tongue, who claimed 19 wickets in the series, moved up two places to a career-best No. 11.

Robinson also climbed seven places to No. 13 among Test allrounders following his half-century in the third Test in Birmingham.

Among Test batters, Pakistan captain Babar Azam rose two places to No. 13, while Shan Masood climbed four spots to No. 37. England wicketkeeper Jamie Smith moved up three places to No. 20.

In the ODI rankings, Australia's Nathan Ellis climbed 20 places to No. 20 among bowlers after taking five wickets in Australia's 59-run victory over Zimbabwe in Harare.

Matthew Renshaw's 109 in the same match lifted him from outside the top 100 to No. 68 among ODI batters, while Cooper Connolly moved up nine places to No. 77 after scoring 51.
