Karkala, Sep 10: The girls’ volleyball team of Christ King Pre-University College, Karkala, emerged winners in the Karkala taluk-level pre-university volleyball tournament organised by the department of pre-university education, Government of Karnataka, at Rajeshwari Pre-University College, Sanur.
With the victory, the girls’ team has qualified for the district-level tournament. Six players representing the team — II PUC science students Shravya Shetty and G Preetha, II PUC commerce student Raksha, I PUC student Rafia Banu, and I PUC commerce students Sanchi Rao and Rakshitha — have been selected for the district level.
In the boys’ category, three students of Christ King PU College — II PUC commerce students Shaavan, Sririshi and Shashanth — have also been selected to represent the taluk at the district level.
