Udupi, Sep 6:
A mix of cloudy and sunny weather prevailed across Udupi district on Saturday. The region witnessed dew on Friday night and early Saturday morning, bringing a slight chill to a few areas.

However, the temperature spiked drastically by the afternoon, resulting in intense heat and sweltering conditions.

Meanwhile, the monsoon has weakened in the neighbouring Dakshina Kannada district over the past few days, leading to a shortfall in the expected normal rainfall.

The region largely experienced a dry spell on Saturday, with a mix of sun and clouds right from the morning. Only isolated areas reported light showers.

According to the India Meteorological Department's forecast, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in certain parts of the region over the next two days.
