Mangaluru, Sep 3: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, inaugurated a Tailoring Training Course on 1 September 2026 with the aim of promoting skill development, self-reliance and empowerment.
The programme was inaugurated by Marjorie Texeira, an alumna of St Agnes College. . Ronald Gomes, president of CASK, presided over the programme and highlighted the importance of tailoring as a skill that promotes creativity, confidence and self-reliance. He encouraged the learners to make the best use of the training opportunity.






Sr Dr M Venissa AC principal emphasised that the course aims to impart practical tailoring skills and equip learners with opportunities for employment and self-employment, thereby fostering financial independence.
A total of 18 learners participating in the training programme. Dr. Shailaja and Mokshitha, the course coordinators, along with other faculty members, were present on the occasion. The programme marked a significant step towards promoting vocational skills and empowering individuals through practical training.
