Harihara, Sep 2: Fourth day's Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere district, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 5:30 pm with rosary, procession and Novena led by rector & parish priest Fr George K A and Fr Anthony Rosario, assistant parish priest of Minor Basilica.
Then Fr Joyal Veigas, vice rector of Minor Seminary, Diocese of Chikmagalur, offered holy Eucharist. The theme of the day was "The Catholic Church stands with the marginalized in society". He based his homily on Isaiah 23:1-9 and Luke 10:25-37.
Rector of the Basilica Fr George K. A thanked Fr Joyal Veigas and concelebrants.
After the Mass Fr Joyal Veigas led the benediction and priests prayed over the pilgrims.
Floral homage to the blessed Virgin Mary, led by Fr George K. A, was paid to Harihara Matha, followed by food being served to all.
