Mangaluru: Srinivas University promotes patriotism through creative craft competition

Mangaluru, Aug 20: The NSS Cell of the department of BBA, Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC), Srinivas University, organized a ‘Crafts of patriotism’ craft competition on August 13 from as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The programme aimed to encourage students to express their patriotism, creativity, and artistic skills through craft. The event was conducted under the guidance of dean Dr Venkatesh S Amin and head of the department Prof Shilpa K Students enthusiastically participated by creating innovative crafts featuring the Indian Tricolour, Ashoka Chakra, patriotic symbols, and creative designs.

The competition was judged by Dr Nikshitha and Prof Sagar Srinivas, assistant professors, department of MBA, Srinivas University. The judges appreciated the creativity, originality, and patriotic spirit reflected in the students’ craft works.

The competition successfully provided students with an opportunity to showcase their artistic talents while fostering a sense of patriotism and national pride.
