Kasargod: 25-year-old dies in collision between school bus and bike

Kasargod, Aug 20: A 25-year-old man died in a collision between a school bus and a motorcycle at Povval Mastikund near Bovikkan on Thursday August 20.

The deceased has been identified as Shammas Abdullah (25), a resident of Galimukha on the Kerala-Karnataka border.

Shammas, who ran a juice shop in Kozhikode, was returning to his native place on his motorcycle at around 8.30 am on Thursday. When he reached Mastikund, his motorcycle collided head-on with a private school bus coming from the opposite direction.

Shammas suffered serious head injuries in the impact and died on the spot.

The deceased had previously worked in Saudi Arabia. He had married Fatima, a resident of Mogral, only a few months ago.

Adhur police have registered a case.
