Mangaluru: Podar International School students explore automobile skills

Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 19: Grade 6 students of Podar International School, Mangaluru, gained practical exposure to the automobile industry through an experiential learning visit to an automobile garage on August 14.

The visit was organised as part of the school's Kaushala Bodh – Skill Development and Employability Initiative, aimed at helping students gain practical knowledge and understand different career opportunities.

During the visit, students observed various aspects of a professional automobile service centre, including vehicle inspection, servicing and maintenance. They were also introduced to commonly used tools and equipment and learnt about workplace safety, discipline and proper work practices.

Interacting with mechanics and technicians gave the students an opportunity to understand their roles and responsibilities and learn about the skills required to build a career in the automobile sector.

The experiential visit helped students connect classroom learning with real-world applications while providing them with valuable insights into the world of automobile skills and employment.
