Mangalruu, Jul 13: The IGNITE – YOUCAT Study Session, organized by the Young Catholic Students (YCS), Diocese of Mangalore, in collaboration with YOUCAT Mangalore India (Mangala Jyothi), was held on 12 July 2026 (Sunday) at Shanthikiran Hall, Bajjodi, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

The programme commenced with an introductory prayer, followed by a thought-provoking session on the catechism of the Catholic Church by Fr Roshan D'Cunha, director of YCS, Diocese of Mangalore. He emphasized the relevance of the Catechism in nurturing a mature Christian faith and encouraged the participants to embrace the teachings of the Church as a guiding force in their daily lives.

The keynote YOUCAT Study Session was facilitated by Jia Menezes, who presented the Catholic faith in a simple, engaging, and interactive manner through the YOUCAT. Her session inspired the participants to deepen their relationship with Christ, strengthen their understanding of the faith, and become committed witnesses of the Gospel within their schools, families, and communities.

The programme also featured dynamic group activities designed to foster collaboration, leadership, critical reflection, and active participation. These interactive sessions provided the participants with meaningful opportunities to share their insights, deepen their faith, and cultivate a stronger sense of unity and fellowship.

The programme concluded with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, leaving the participants spiritually renewed, enriched in faith, and inspired to continue their journey with the YCS motto, "Join. Learn. Grow. Ignite Your Faith."
