SACAA along with St Aloysius University inaugurates senior citizen forum

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 3: St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA), in association with St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, successfully inaugurated the 'Aloysius Senior Citizen Forum' on June 30, at Sahodaya Hall.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 82 senior Aloysian alumni and other elders from the community.

The formal inauguration was solemnized by the vice chancellor of the university, Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, alongside the rector of Aloysius Institutions, Fr Brian Pereira, and SACAA executive committee members. This unique initiative aims to provide a dedicated space for elders to socialize, play, and stay connected.

The afternoon was packed with vibrant energy as participants thoroughly enjoyed interactive sessions, open mic performances, and a spirited round of Housie Housie.

The attending senior citizens deeply appreciated the platform, sharing nostalgic memories and offering valuable suggestions for future meets. This marks the beginning of a historic chapter in the university's community engagement initiatives for elders, with these social gatherings planned for every alternate Tuesday.

The next forum meeting is scheduled to take place on July 14, at the same venue.
