Jerusalem, Jun 12: Four children, including two infants and two three-year-olds, were hospitalised in Jerusalem on Thursday after suddenly falling ill under unexplained circumstances, emergency services said.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA), emergency responders initially received a call regarding two children who were feeling unwell at a residential building near the Mekor Baruch neighbourhood. About an hour later, additional reports were received concerning two more children at the same location exhibiting symptoms of weakness.

Medical teams rushed the children to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for treatment. Their exact condition and the cause of the illness were not immediately disclosed.
Following the incident, a hazardous materials monitoring team from the Jerusalem District was dispatched to the site. Firefighters and other emergency personnel conducted inspections at the residential building to determine whether exposure to hazardous substances may have contributed to the illnesses.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing and no official cause has yet been identified.
The incident prompted a swift response from emergency and safety agencies as officials worked to rule out any potential environmental or hazardous material threat at the location.
