Karkala: Christ King PU College excels in KCET 2026 results

Karkala, Jun 10: Students of Christ King Pre-University College, have achieved outstanding results in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for admissions to engineering and other professional courses.

A total of 152 students from the college appeared for the KCET examination this year. Despite the absence of any admission cut-off marks for the Science stream, the institution has recorded an impressive performance, with 129 students securing ranks within the top 20,000.

The college's top performer, Vijeth Shettigar, secured an excellent 236th rank, placing him among the top 500 candidates in the state. Another student, Sumanth N K, achieved the 959th rank, earning a place within the top 1,000.

Other notable achievers include:

· Roshan Thorus – 2,176th rank
· Disha D'Mello – 2,148th rank
· Apeksha Jain – 2,144th rank
· Hemanth Gowda – 2,100th rank

· Smruthi Marathe – 4,094th rank

Overall, the institution has secured:

· 2 ranks within the Top 1,000
· 25 ranks within the Top 5,000
· 63 ranks within the Top 10,000
· 93 ranks within the Top 15,000
· 129 ranks within the Top 20,000
