Mangaluru: A new chapter of leadership unfolds at St Aloysius Gonzaga School

Mangaluru, Jun 5: St Aloysius Gonzaga School held its investiture ceremony for the academic year 2026–27 on June 5 with great enthusiasm and dignity. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council.

The chief guest for the occasion was Dr Malini N Hebbar, principal of Swastika National Business School. Along with principal Fr Rohan D'Almeida SJ, vice-principal Laurel D'Souza, and academic coordinators Deepa Karkada and Deepthi Karkada, she conferred badges and sashes on the newly elected student leaders.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Hebbar encouraged the council members to discharge their duties with commitment and integrity. She highlighted the significance of Panchama Karya Siddhi and emphasised the value of teamwork in achieving success.

In his address, principal Fr Rohan D'Almeida SJ spoke about the Jesuit vision of holistic education, stressing the development of the "Head" (academics), "Heart" (values and emotions), and "Hand" (service and action).

Head boy Aadidev S. and head girl Rhea Jessicca Rego expressed their gratitude and shared their vision for the academic year ahead.

The programme was compered by ikitha Fernandes. Ananya Rao welcomed the gathering, while Shravya Raj proposed the vote of thanks.

The ceremony was coordinated by Sandhya Manoj, Shilpa Ballal, Jisha Thomas, Nisha Nambiar, and Shamitha Shetty. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
