Mangaluru: LCS bids farewell to former manager Dr John Baptist Saldanha

Mangaluru, Jun 4: LCS School accorded a heartfelt farewell to its outgoing manager, Dr John Baptist Saldanha, during a programme held on the school grounds on June 3.

The dignitaries, including the newly appointed manager Fr Stany Pereira, principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira, vice principal Anita Thomas, and members of the management, were ceremoniously escorted to the stage by the school band.

The programme commenced with a prayer service led by the students, followed by a welcome address by the principal. The head girl Sharvi Shetty presented a citation highlighting the remarkable contributions of Dr J B Saldanha to the institution during his tenure as manager. The dignitaries on the dais then felicitated him in recognition of his dedicated and visionary leadership.

Adding a creative touch to the occasion, the students of grade 12 conducted an engaging quiz based on the life and achievements of Dr J B Saldanha, while the students of grade 9 paid tribute through a melodious song.

Addressing the gathering, Dr J B Saldanha emphasized the importance of character formation and integrity in life. He appreciated the commitment and dedication of the staff and invoked the blessings and protection of Our Lady of Lourdes upon the school community.

Fr Stany Pereira, the current manager, also addressed the students and encouraged them to strive for excellence in both academics and character.

The programme concluded on a joyful note with birthday greetings extended to students celebrating their birthdays.
