Mangaluru, Aug 6: An investor awareness programme was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Commerce and Management Association, and Placement Cell of Government First Grade College, Kavoor in collaboration with HSBC Mutual Fund at the college on August 6.

Arjun Prakash, assistant professor, St Aloysius University, Mangaluru, as the resource person. In his informative session, he highlighted the importance of financial planning and explained the benefits of investing in mutual funds. He also encouraged students to develop sound investment habits at an early stage to achieve long-term financial security.

The programme was presided over by the principal, Dr Geetha M L Dr Therese Pereira, IQAC coordinator and head of the department of commerce and management; Dr Santhosh Pinto, student welfare officer and coordinator of the Institution's Innovation Council; Mamatha U, placement officer; and Jyothi Shetty S, coordinator of the Commerce and Management Association were present in the programme.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Manisha, followed by the keynote session. Sinchana compered the programme, while Karthik proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
