New Delhi, Jun 3: Nearly 40,000 students have successfully completed the application process for verification and re-evaluation of their Class 12 answer books without any major issues, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said on Wednesday.
The board stated that payment gateways of State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank are available on the verification and re-evaluation portal, clarifying that students do not need to hold accounts with these banks to make payments.

Students can use multiple online payment options, including UPI, net banking, credit cards and debit cards through the designated gateways, CBSE said.
The online portal was launched on June 2 after a brief delay and will remain open until midnight on June 6. The facility is available only to students who have already obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books.
The development comes amid concerns raised by students and parents regarding the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system used by CBSE for evaluating Class 12 board examination answer scripts.
The board has faced criticism over reported technical glitches, payment-related issues and difficulties in accessing the portal during the verification and re-evaluation process.
CBSE said students can report issues such as missing pages, missing supplementary sheets, blurred scans, incorrect answer books or evaluation against a different question paper set.
Students may also seek re-evaluation of one or more answers if dissatisfied with the assessment.
The fee has been fixed at Rs 100 per answer book for verification of issues in scanned copies and Rs 25 per question for re-evaluation.
Candidates are required to log in through the CBSE website using Aadhaar-based verification and complete the process online. The board clarified that students without Aadhaar may use the Aadhaar details of a parent, guardian or relative.
Meanwhile, CBSE revealed that its portal recently came under a series of cyberattack attempts, including a denial-of-service (DoS) attack that generated nearly 1.5 million hits within two minutes and over one lakh attempts at unauthorised file access.
The board said additional measures, including extended session time limits and enhanced security protocols, have been introduced to improve the user experience and ensure uninterrupted services.
CBSE advised students to submit their applications well before the deadline and rely only on official communications for accurate information regarding the process.
