Mangaluru, Jun 1: The final day of the teachers' orientation programme was held on May 30 at Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, CBSE Kotekar. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the principal Sr Pramila AC. In her address, she extended a cordial welcome to the resource person Sr Julie Ann AC, administrator of the school and the participants.

During her session, the resource person reflected on the vision and mission of the Apostolic Carmel Institution and shared inspiring insights into the life and legacy of its foundress, Mother Veronica. She highlighted Mother Veronica’s deep faith, spirit of service, and commitment to education, which continue to guide the institution today. Emphasizing the importance of personal and professional growth, she encouraged the teachers to strive for excellence by embracing continuous learning, dedication, and a genuine concern for the holistic development of students.

The resource person also focused on the inspiring legacy of Mother Marie Des Anges, highlighting the values she embodied, such as determination, punctuality, selflessness, compassion, courage, and commitment to excellence. She encouraged the teachers to uphold these values in their personal and professional lives and continue the mission of nurturing young minds with dedication and care.

The session was highly interactive and engaging. Reflecting on the theme of Magis in service to others, the resource person invited the participants to share their thoughts and experiences in groups. The group discussion encouraged meaningful interaction, exchange of ideas, and deeper reflection on how teachers can strive for excellence in academics, relationships, and community service.
