Udupi, May 29: Teachers are the sculptors of young and budding minds of modern society. To effectively shape the future generation, educators must remain in tune with the evolving educational landscape - be it pedagogical approaches, neurological orientation of today’s learners or modern-day teaching tools such as Artificial Intelligence.
With a vision for achieving optimum holistic development and happy learning of students in care of St Cecily’s CBSE School, a three-day Teachers’ enrichment programme was organized for the faculty from May 25 to 27 in the school auditorium.



































The eminent resource persons spanning the three days were Dr Virupaksha Devaramane, the consultant psychiatrist, Dr A V Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi, Sriraghavan SM, astronomer, educationist and master teacher trainer (in association with Black Swan Publications), Bangalore, Srinath S, IT professional and trainer (in association with Orange Publications) and R Prachi Singh, educator.
Keeping in focus the objective of inclusivity in schools, Dr Virupaksha Devaramane enlightened the teachers about the types of neurodivergent children, including children with ADHD, HPD and Autism. He explained the behavioural markers to help teachers identify such learners and suggested simple but accommodative strategies to include them in the regular learning environment.
Sriraghavan S M provided the teachers, expert guidance on stress management in the teaching profession and shared ways to stay motivated and become effective learning facilitators of learning in the classroom. He emphasized that teachers must be compassionate and genuine love for students and the teaching vocation are the hallmarks of a successful educator. He also highlighted communication as one of the best ways to reduce stress and foster positive relationships.
Srinath provided a detailed presentation of the concept and growing significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today’s educational landscape. He elaborated on the various types of AI, the necessity of integrating AI into education, and the ways in which teachers can effectively utilize AI to simplify teaching, learning, assessment, and content creation.
R Prachi Singh skillfully explained and updated the faculty member about the aspects of the various progressive changes brought about in the CBSE curriculum in compliance with NEP SE-2023, with effect from the academic year 2026-27. Her session enabled the teachers to understand the evolving curriculum framework and its practical implications in the classroom in a better way.
The three-day orientation programme equipped the faculty with renewed confidence, updated knowledge and fresh enthusiasm to embark on the new academic year. The programme reinforced the school’s commitment of offering the ultimate motive of offering the very best to its students and bringing out the very best in them.
