Ankara, May 23: Intelligence agencies of Turkey and Syria have jointly arrested 10 people suspected of having links to Islamic State (ISIS), according to reports on Saturday.
Turkish state broadcaster TRT reported that the arrests were made in Syria during a coordinated intelligence operation involving both countries.
Officials said the suspects were allegedly involved in carrying out “terrorist attacks” in Turkey.

Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization stated that the suspects were apprehended after Turkish and Syrian intelligence personnel closely monitored their movements during the operation.
Police officials said all 10 suspects were subject to Interpol Red Notices, which request global law enforcement agencies to locate and arrest wanted individuals pending extradition or legal action.
One of the detained suspects is allegedly linked to the 2015 twin bombings in Ankara, in which more than 100 people were killed.
Another suspect, identified as Ali Bora, is believed to have served as ISIS’s intelligence chief for Turkey after joining the militant group in 2014.
During interrogation, the detainees reportedly admitted to being members of ISIS and confessed to receiving training and operational instructions from the organisation.
Relations between Ankara and Damascus have reportedly improved after Syria’s de facto leader Ahmed al-Sharaa and allied forces overthrew former president Bashar al-Assad.
