2. Naada Swara — Advanced music & sound studio
The dignitaries then moved to ‘Naada Swara’, the school’s state-of-the-art music and sound studio. Chief guest Michael D’Souza cut the ribbon, and Dr John Baptist Saldanha blessed the studio. Joel Pereira, the music maestro who supervised the studio’s setup, was felicitated. In his address, he introduced the studio’s key accessories and highlighted its potential to nurture musical talent at LCS.
3. LCS Summit Hall
The final attraction was the inauguration of the air-conditioned LCS Summit Hall on the roof of the main block. Michael D’Souza cut the ribbon for this magnificent facility.
Soon after the unveiling of the commemorative granite plaque, Dr John Baptist Saldanha blessed the hall as the LCS Choir joyfully rendered ‘Showers of Blessings’.
Formal Programme
The formal ceremony commenced with the welcome address by the vice principal, Anitha Thomas. The principal, Fr Johnson L Sequeira, felicitated the dignitaries — Michael D’Souza and Dr John Baptist Saldanha — along with the hardworking contractors, engineers, and technical staff whose dedication brought the three projects to successful completion.
In his address, chief guest Michael D’Souza promised his steadfast support for the future development projects of Lourdes Central School and urged students and staff to make the best use of the talents bestowed upon them.
Dr John Baptist Saldanha spoke highly of Fr Johnson L Sequeira’s visionary leadership and also sought continued support from Michael D’Souza for the mammoth projects planned for LCS in the future.
The three masters of ceremony, Anitha Pinto, Lavita D’Souza, and Shanthi Menezes, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries and the gathering. Dr Vincent Sequeira was then invited to say the grace before meals.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with a fellowship meal and group photographs, capturing memories of a truly blessed and momentous day in the history of LCS.
