Life skill add on programmes conclude with certificate distribution at Milagres College

Mangaluru, May 15: The valedictory and certificate distribution programme of the life skill add-on courses for the academic year 2025–26 was held on May 9 at the auditorium of Milagres College in Mangaluru.

Inaugurating the programme, CODP director Fr Vincent D’Souza said that in today’s competitive world, it is essential for students to acquire life skills along with academic education. He stated that life skill-based training programmes contribute significantly to personality development and increase opportunities for employment and self-employment among students.

Certificates were distributed to students who successfully completed various add-on courses including yoga, GST, first aid, photography, beautician training, event management, dance, craft and embroidery, soft skills, start-up training, journalism, personal investment, spoken English, culinary arts, and computer and tally.

Principal and campus director Dr Alwin Serrao presided over the programme and remarked that such skill-oriented initiatives play an important role in the holistic development of students.

IQAC coordinator Chethana Kumari and faculty members were present on the occasion.

Lecturer Jithesh welcomed the gathering, while coordinator and lecturer Chaithra D proposed the vote of thanks. Lecturer Tejaswini compered the programme.
