Media Release

Jabriya, May 3: A blood donation drive organized by Tulu Koota Kuwait (TKK) was successfully conducted on 17 April 2024 at the Blood Bank in Jabriya, Kuwait, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, under the theme “Donate Blood, Save Life.”

Tulu Koota Kuwait, a well-established cultural association serving the Tulu-speaking community in Kuwait for the past 26 years, was founded in 2000 with the objective of promoting unity through language and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Tulu Nadu. The association, affiliated with the Embassy of India in Kuwait, continues to actively support educational, cultural, and welfare initiatives.

The blood donation drive received an encouraging response, with around 110 participants attending the event. Among them, 80 individuals successfully donated blood, reflecting a strong sense of community responsibility and commitment to saving lives.

As a gesture of appreciation, donor kits were distributed to all blood donors. These kits were sponsored by Badr Medical Center, Farwaniya, Kuwait, whose continued support significantly contributed to the success of the initiative.

The smooth execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts and valuable support of the association’s committee members.

TKK president Vijay Kumar Kairangala, along with the management, expressed sincere gratitude to all donors and participants for their support and for making the blood donation drive a meaningful success. They emphasized the importance of such initiatives in addressing critical healthcare needs and in promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation.

The association also extended its appreciation to the medical staff and volunteers at the Blood Bank, Jabriya, for their professionalism and cooperation throughout the program.

Photographs of the event were captured by Sahil D’Souza. Refreshments for the committee members were arranged by Sangeetha Restaurant, Salmiya.

Tulu Koota Kuwait expresses its sincere gratitude to the event sponsors—Al Mulla Exchange, Badr Medical Center Farwaniya, M A Hyther Group, and Al Ahleia Insurance Co.—for their continued support and valuable contribution to the success of the event.

The program concluded with a message encouraging the public to actively participate in future blood donation drives, reinforcing the belief that every drop of blood can help save a life.
