Citadel Season 2 gets release date, trailer promises high-stakes global mission

Mumbai, Apr 21: The makers of Citadel have officially announced the premiere date for its much-anticipated second season, along with an action-packed trailer that teases a bigger and more intense storyline.

Streaming platform Prime Video confirmed that all episodes of Season 2 will be released globally on May 6, 2026, reaching audiences across more than 240 countries and territories.

The upcoming season continues the story of elite operatives Mason Kane (played by Richard Madden), Nadia Sinh (played by Priyanka Chopra), and Bernard Orlick (played by Stanley Tucci). The trio, once part of a powerful spy agency destroyed by the shadowy syndicate Manticore, are drawn back into action as a new global threat emerges.

This time, they are tasked with assembling a fresh team of operatives to take on a far-reaching conspiracy that could have consequences for all of humanity.

Season 2 also brings back familiar faces including Lesley Manville and Ashleigh Cummings, while expanding its ensemble cast with actors like Jack Reynor, Matt Berry, and Lina El Arabi. New additions to the series include Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Leone, and Rayna Vallandingham.

The show is produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with AGBO, the production company led by the Russo Brothers. Executive producers include Anthony Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes.

David Weil returns as showrunner, director, and executive producer, with Joe Russo and Greg Yaitanes also directing episodes in the new season.

With its expanded cast, global scale, and high-stakes narrative, Season 2 of Citadel promises to raise the bar for action-packed spy dramas.
