Chennai, Apr 11: Actress Pooja Hegde has voiced concern after footage from her upcoming film Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay, was leaked online. She appealed to audiences to avoid piracy and wait to experience the film in theatres.

Sharing an emotional message on social media, Pooja highlighted the immense effort behind filmmaking, describing it as the result of “countless hours, creative risks, and personal sacrifices.” She said the leak was deeply upsetting for everyone involved in the project.

The actress urged fans to respect the work of artists and technicians by choosing to watch the film the right way. Emphasizing the significance of the release, she also called on audiences to come together and celebrate what is expected to be Vijay’s final film on the big screen.

Meanwhile, the film’s producers, KVN Productions, issued a strong warning against engaging with the leaked content. The production house stated that clips and portions of the film had been illegally accessed and circulated, posing a serious threat of digital piracy.

They clarified that downloading, viewing, storing, or sharing such content through platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, or torrent sites constitutes a criminal offence under copyright laws.

The producers also revealed that investigations, including forensic analysis, are already underway to identify those responsible. Stressing that all digital activity is traceable, they warned that strict legal action—both civil and criminal—will be taken against anyone involved in spreading the leaked material.

The public has been strongly advised to avoid interacting with such content and to delete it immediately if received, as the makers continue efforts to curb piracy and protect the film.
