Bantwal: Young anchor collapses on stage during Madarangi event, dies

Bantwal, Apr 11: In a tragic incident, a young anchor collapsed on stage and died while hosting a Madarangi programme at Nayila in Narikombu village of Bantwal taluk on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ashwith (32), a resident of Abbetu in Farangipete.

According to sources, Ashwith had stepped onto the stage to anchor a Madarangi programme at a relative’s house in Nayila. As he began the event, he suddenly collapsed.

He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Thumbe, but doctors declared that he had already passed away.

A case has been registered at Bantwal Town police station.
